Mental Health Nutrition
Nutrition care for disordered eating, restrictive eating and bingeing, where the psychological relationship with food matters as much as the plate.
What this covers
Nutrition support where mental health and eating are connected — disordered eating, restrictive eating and bingeing, anxiety around food and body image, and the nutritional side of recovery alongside your existing treatment team.
Why it’s different here
Shilpi’s additional training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) informed approaches means this isn’t a standard diet sheet applied to a complex situation. Food rules, restriction and bingeing are treated as patterns to understand and work through, not just intake to correct.
What a consultation involves
A collaborative assessment of your eating patterns, history and goals, working alongside your GP, psychologist or treating team rather than in place of them. Pace and focus are set by what’s clinically appropriate and what you’re ready for, not a fixed program.
Disordered eating and eating disorders can involve serious medical risk. This service is nutritional support as part of a broader care team, not a replacement for medical or psychological treatment where that’s needed.
